  3.     The PCX graphics in this collection were scanned from
  4.     old Bookplates (Public Domain) that I searched for in
  5.     Libraries and private collections.
  6.  
  7.     Book collectors like to personalize the books in their
  8.     library with their own labels.  Up to NOW if you wanted your
  9.     own Plate you had few choices, you could carve your own or
  10.     have someone else make one for you!
  11.  
  12.     The Plates in this collection can easily customized with
  13.     many Paint Programs available for the PC that use the PCX
  14.     format.  The Plates can be printed on plain paper and pasted
  15.     into your book or (my method) you can customize your Plate,
  16.     save in the PCX format, then print it with a program like
  17.     Labels Unlimited from Power Up!  The self-stick labels are
  18.     a "class" addition to any library.

  20.     The graphics in this collection can be used in many other
  21.     ways, limited only by your imagination...
